THE CONCEPT OF THE STRANGE LITTLE GIRLS ALBUM Tori's latest album is an album of cover songs, but is more than that. Carefully selected, these songs are all written by men, and take certain views towards women in society. From this, Tori has given a female perspective to the songs, a female voice, through subtle re-writes and new ways of delivering the song. The album provides a look at the state of women in society today. Further, Tori has created a character with a story for each song, with the assistance of author Neil Gaiman (Neverwhere; American Gods; Sandman comics). Pictures of Tori in character grace the album booklet and cover. You can see these pictures by visiting the SLG lyrics page (linked below); for each song that currently has its character photo revealed, the picture is posted by its lyrics. RELEASES STRANGE LITTLE GIRLS: September 14 in UK; September 18 in US/Canada< STRANGE LITTLE GIRL SINGLE: Never Officially released but numerous copies exist; B-Sides are After All (David Bowie cover) and Only Women Bleed (Alice Cooper) STRANGE LITTLE GIRL PROMO #1: Includes single edits of Strange little girl,Heart of Gold and '97 Bonnie and Clyde STRANGE LITTLE GIRL PROMO #2: Single edit of Strange Little Girl plus FULL versions of I Don't Like Mondays and I'm Not in Love TRACKS AND ORIGINAL ARTISTS New Age - The Velvet Underground '97 Bonnie & Clyde - Eminem Strange Little Girl - The Stranglers Enjoy The Silence - Depeche Mode I'm Not In Love - 10cc Rattlesnakes - Lloyd Cole & The Commotions Time - Tom Waits Heart Of Gold - Neil Young I Don't Like Mondays - The Boomtown Rats Happiness is a Warm Gun - The Beatles Raining Blood - Slayer Real Men - Joe Jackson THE MULTIPLE COVERS Four different covers for the album were released in the UK and US each, with a total of five different covers being available. In the US, EWF could choose from the Happiness is a Warm Gun, Strange Little Girl, Time, and Raining Blood characters. In the UK, the I Don't Like Mondays character was offered instead of Time. To see all of the characters, refer to the Lyrics page for the album; each character is pictured with their respective song.
